Extension at 815.235.4125. **This workshop will primarily be aimed at Beef/Dairy producers with examples and discussion, but is open to ALL producers. Workshop starting time is different: Registration - 9:15 am and Workshop starts at 10:00 am. Participants arriving after 10:20 am cannot be certified for attending the workshop. The IL Department of Agriculture written exam will be offered at 2:00 pm.

In Illinois, livestock facilities with more than 300 animal units must have someone certified in manure handling procedures. To become certified, producers with 300 - 999 animal units can either attend a University of Illinois Extension C.L.M.T. workshop or take and pass the Illinois Department of Agriculture administered Certified Livestock Manager exam. Producers with over 1,000 animal units are required to do both.

University of Illinois Extension also offers a series of five quizzes on the internet. Passing all five quizzes is the equivalent of having attended the C.L.M.T morning workshop for becoming a Certified Livestock Manager.

There is no cost for the on-line quiz option. The only cost is for the C.L.M.T. manual.
